New Graphic Design Work

I have designed the artwork for a South Australian wine maker. The image is of 'The Devil's Coach Road' in heart of The Mourne Mountains. The wine coincidently is called 'Devil's Coach House Shiraz'.

Spent a day painting at a small pond at the back of an old castle. A stork stood patiently in the trees while I painted. Another 'en plein air' painting.

New Concept Art 'The Last Pillar'

Here is an example of a piece of concept art from an animated project called 'The Last Pillar'. I was inspired by the bulging storm clouds that I witnessed up in the Mournes this winter. The clouds were heavy and dark blue, they collapsed over a ridge called, 'The Devil's Coach Road'. The image illustrates the following lines of the film's narration, '...and all they knew were heavy clouds pressing, red tinged above new born earth wounds...'.

The New Digital Painting

This is a digital painting that I have created using Photoshop. It depicts a scene from the HP Lovecraft short story, 'The Dunwich Horror'. It shows the protagonist entering upon a 'lonely and curious country', after 'taking the wrong fork at the junction of the Aylesbury Pike just beyond Dean's Corner'.

Concept for Computer game

I've been playing with this idea for a while, it's a concept piece for a computer game based in the world of Dungeons and Dragons. The game's setting is futuristic, but incorporates the magical creatures from the original, fantasy themed Dungeons and Dragons. The creature in the hull of the space ship here is a Beholder.

Wee King of Nowhere

I'm currently drawing storyboards for a short film, 'Wee King of Nowhere'. It's a film that concerns itself with the disturbing issue of paedophiles moving in with single mums in order to get close to their children. Click on the link and check out an example of the storyboard style.

Still patiently standing by The Script

It's still called The Script as the name hasn't come to me yet. I've been working on this script for the past two years with my bro and other entities. It concerns the fate of McCance, Mike, Barry and an extra-terrestial or 'Out-there Brother'. All on one friday night in a small town, located where the world doesn't look. The story is coming through slowly. But patience is required with this one. It's like an evasive pike.

Current Projects

Currently storyboarding The Million Souls, a UK Horror Feature; the more you think about this script the more complex and the more of a paradox it becomes. It's complex, conguring up those dark archetypal images. It has intelligent dialogue that surprises with humour in the most unexpected places. This script leaves you with thoughts as to whether the happenings are all psychological or supernatural!
